Scala is not dead, but...

1. TypeSafe.. I mean LightBend.. is now working on Lagom, a 'Java-first' framework.
2. Lightbend has hired a Java evangelist.
3. New version of Play Framework touts the use of Java APIs.
4. Scala is now maintained by a separate foundation called 'Scala Center'.

Bright days ahead for Scala... right?
